Micah Sanders is a Senior Research Associate at the George Washington Institute of Public Policy (GWIPP) Program on Skills, Credentials and Workforce Policy (PSCWP).  Prior to joining GW, he was a Research Project manager for Educational Testing Service’s Policy Evaluation and Research Center and an Education Research Analyst for the State of Washington’s Education Research and Data Center. In these roles he has served as an expert in higher education policy and data analytics for topics ranging from skills to education finance and financial aid. Micah has also served as a government analyst for a variety of state agencies for both the states of Washington and Florida, providing economic policy analysis for elected officials and advising on regulatory and legislative issues. A graduate with honors of Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management with a bachelor’s in Economics, he also holds master’s degrees in Education Leadership and Policy Studies and Economics from Florida State University. His recent publications include the development of a new meta skills taxonomy, marginal wage impacts of college program choice, and estimating the impact of upward transfer on student outcomes.
